A free travel map embed for Webflow
Drop a free, self-updating map & gallery of nearby travel spots into any Webflow page with an Embed element.
Add it to Webflow in about a minute
- Drag an Embed element onto the page where you want the widget.
- Paste the one line below into it.
- Publish — the widget appears exactly where you placed it.
<script async src="https://photerra.com/embed/v1/loader.js" data-hub="sf" data-layout="grid" data-cfasync="false"></script>Customize the location, layout, theme and colors — and copy your exact line — in the widget builder.
Webflow’s Designer canvas does not run embedded scripts, so the Embed element shows a placeholder until you publish or open Preview. Give the element a width — the widget fills whatever it is given and lays its photo rows out to fit, so it works inside a container, a column or a full-bleed section.
Questions
- I see an empty box in the Designer.
- That is expected. Webflow does not execute embed code on the Designer canvas. Hit Preview, or publish to a staging domain, and it renders.
- Does it count against Webflow’s custom-code limits?
- The Embed element has a 50,000-character limit and the snippet is about 130 characters, so no. It also does not touch the site-wide Custom Code budget in Project Settings.
- Can I use it in a Collection List?
- You can, but do not — one widget per page. Repeating it inside a CMS list means one iframe per item, which is exactly the kind of weight the widget is designed to avoid.
Every photo is real travel photography, shown with credit to the person who made it, and we honor each contributor’s privacy choices. It’s free because it helps people discover great places — not because we sell anyone’s data.
The photography behind it
Every photo in the widget is a real place at a real coordinate, contributed by a traveler or drawn from openly-licensed archives — the same corpus behind Photerra’s destination pages.
